Dr. Kenneth P. Kleinpeter, Jr., FACS is an associate of the Surgeons Group of Baton Rouge. He has been in the Baton Rouge community since childhood. He attended Catholic High School and finished undergraduate study in Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University. He attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – New Orleans.
Dr. Kleinpeter underwent general surgical training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at the Minimally Invasive Surgery Institute in Baton Rouge.
Dr. Kleinpeter is board certified with the American Board of Surgery. He was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha in his residency. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is affiliated with the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery as a regular member.
He has surgical interests in advanced laparoscopy, bariatric surgery, and peritoneal dialysis access. He also has a specific interest in diseases of the breast and endocrine organs. He resides in Baton Rouge with his wife, Laurie Whitaker, and children, Leslie and Will.
